You grow up your whole life hearing about pickels and ice cream and how you gotta run to the store for the Mrs. at all hours of the day and night to fetch whatever it is that they get a craving for.
Vietnamese food. Cơm tấm, namely. And not her.
Me.
I can't stop craving Vietnamese food. I think about it all day every day.
Couvade syndrome, my ass. I really DO think I'm pregnant. She's down about 2 pounds since the wedding and I've gained (and I wish I was making this up) TEN POUNDS in the last 5 weeks with no end in sight.
I eat everything in the house every night and go to bed dreaming of pork. I wake up thinking about pork. I drive to work eating my bagel trying to figure out what I'll have for lunch. I discuss dinner plans over lunch.
I actually have a half eaten bag of Andy Cap's Cheddar Fries in my car right now.
One more bowl of Sugar Smacks and I'm hitting the sack.
You don't know it yet, but you spent your first holiday season in 2006 with Mommy and Daddy visiting all your Grandparents. You got to go to Atlanta, Iowa, and spent some time in Chicago and Minnesota. You're mighty well traveled for such a youngster.
You would never believe the amount of people that can't wait to meet you.
We got to see you for the first time last week. We only wanted to hear your heartbeat, but we got a sneak peek at you with ultrasound. While the doctor was showing us where you were and how you were growing and stuff, we were delighted to see you do a little dance for us. We all wonder if you'll be a dancer, overactive, or if you were just a bit annoyed at the intrusion. I like to think that you knew we were watching and that was a greeting especially for us.
Happy Chanukkah, Junior, and Merry Christmas.
I'm having a dickens of a time getting all these pictures uploaded in a way that they can be easily viewed.
For those who would like to scroll through them, they are on the server. I have them in two sizes:
Big-ass files and smaller files.
As of right now, you'll have to click on each one individually. Good luck and have fun.
