Blackman

And that leads me into a little story....

That picture below (DaVinci code stuff aside) was taken when Elizabeth, Carlucci, and I were looking all over the vast graveyard of St Michael's Cathedral in Barbados for the resting place of my dearest great great great great great great great grandfather, Alexander Coachman so that I could photograph it for Mother. It would be perfect for her book on the Coachman clan.

This graveyard completely surrounds the cathedral which, as this was a Sunday, was beginning to fill with the local folks for Sunday evening service.

There are literaly hundreds of grave markers, most of which have been rendered unreadable by 200 years or more of saltwatery breeze and it is getting somewhat frustrating trying to find Alexander's resting place.

Carlucci, the digital camera guru and photoshop wiz, suggested that it would be possible to digitally enhance one of the stones and perhaps change the writing on the stone to Coachman if the original name was close.

An interesting thought.

We then started looking not only for the actual Coachman, but for names that were close and that looked as if they could be easily digitally manipulated.

Finally at about the time we're going to give up, Elizabeth is standing near the church that was slowing filling up and I was at the other end of the yard. I though for a minute that she'd found the actual grave, but it seemed that she'd found a stone that would be easily digitially manipulated. The resting place of Mr. Blackman.

I'm far enough that she's having to yell to me at the other end of the yard.

"Blackman. BLACKMAN"

I look up to see Elizabeth standing near the St. Michael's Cathedral in Barbados where the last few parishoners are filing in.

"BLACKMAN!!! B L A C K M A N!"

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything funnier.

grave matters.jpg

This Picture Hides A Secret.

Due to recent concerns about alien probes, I am posting something new.

I will buy dinner at The Minneapolis Club, The Atlanta Commerce Club, The University Club of Tampa,
or a fancy restaurant to be named later,
for the first person to solve the mystery of this picture.

What ? You need another clue ?

Alright, here's an anagram, "Proms Rot".

Imogen Heap
Click Me For A Musical Treat

I believe this to mark the final resting place of of my Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather Alexander Coachman who was laid to rest at St. Michael's Cathedral in Barbados January 4, 1691.

The musical treat is Hide & Seek by Imogen Heap. I think I dig it. Let me know what you think.
