Forget all this work.

I'm going golfing with Stuart.

Relo is Hell

flaunt.jpg

For those who don't already know,
moving all your worldly possessions across five states,
is a pain.

I figured I could live without a chair or table for week.
Sure I can do the laptop/DSL/VPN thing and work lying on an air mattress.

Then they delayed my furniture delivery for another five days.
The moving van was still in Texas.
Against company policy, East-West travel in a "Hurricane Corridor".

Sorry if the pic seems repetitive. The photos are a big stress reliever right now.
I'm trying to refine it for a large print.
Suddenly I have a lot more wall space than previously.
Used a tripod and some other refinements to improve the shots this time.

Editing Room

I'm stuck in a darkened editing room in Las Vegas and my blog has gone blank. I need some guest help. Maddie? Carlucci?

HOWARD IS HOME!!

Doctor released Howard from the hospital today - We sprung him this morning and he wanted to have his first meal in 11 days at the Waffle House.

Elizabeth 'enjoyed' grits for the first time in her life. She also seemed somewhat surprised that there were raisins in the toast and apples in the butter.

White people. Sheesh.

Well he's home and only complaining so far of back pain. I can imagine after being in that little air-mattress bed for the last 11 days, that would probably the be case. I'm so happy he's home.

Atlanta Bound

Going to give Pop a boost and Ma a hug - He's had a bit of surgery and is in the recovery room at Kennestone hospital back home in Georgia. Last Thursday he had 18" of colon removed. Biopsy report ain't exactly squeeky clean, but we're all quite hopeful for complete recovery.

He probably doesn't want too many visitors as he's not quite pleased with the tube in his nose, but Elizabeth and I are going just the same. Hell - Sometimes you just got a tube in your nose and people still come to visit. I know they visited me when I had one up my nose...

Hope to be home by Tuesday - Keep Howard in your prayers.

TUBE UPDATE - Tube was removed tonight much to everyone's releaf and Howard's delight - A few laps around the floor and hope to have him home by Monday. In fact, I think we'll bust him out on Monday no matter what the nurse says.

Panel of Experts

The Panel of Experts

I'm back from my tour of Southern Nevada. I must say that by and large everyone was an absolute professional, and we got some great stuff on tape. I'd guess at this point we're about 1/4 of the way finished with the project at most - plenty more work to be done.

And if you're headed to Mesquite, NV, pack a few meals. The food there sux.

Ybor Beckons You.

Master-View.jpg

Hi Michael,

I thought you might enjoy seeing the view from the windows of my new abode.
( Be sure to scroll over for the alternate view. )

This view is also available from my balcony, while enjoying drinks with little paper umbrellas, for those who wish to venture to the tropics.

I don't mean to imply that everything is perfect here in Paradise.
Just take a look at the traffic I have to deal with at my new office.

Traffic Congestion

Yes, it's true, I now live in DisneyWorld.

Frances? Frances who?

BIG-TIME

Got some great stuff last night on the strip - worked until 4:00 AM and got about 4 hours of sleep. Most of the difficult stuff is still to come, tonight and tomorrow all day and then finally back to Minnesota.

This is like real work out here. And it's hotter'n the DC.

Hope to have some vid clips from Matthew to put up on here..... We'll see how that goes.

See ya'll on Sunday.

PS - The grape leaves were delicious.
