Thanks to JB Smith''s amazing sleuth work, I've been in contact with several people from a virtual lifetime ago and all because MB Reynolds decided he needed to have a 40th birthday.
Lots of us are turning 40 this year, my brother, and I'm glad to see the gray and the recession. You know where to find me now and there is no need to wait until I'm 60.
I, myself, have changed slightly over the years from the 120 pound greased pompadour sportin' devil-may-care, fun lovin' skinny-boy of yesteryear to the morbidly obese, closely cropped, could-easily-be-mistaken-for-a-republican-if-you-just-looked-at-me person of today, but in my own defense, I'd have to say that principally I'm the same fellow I was back then.
I know some more stuff, maybe, and I drive a better car (although that Jetta was good too me...) but I haven't changed that much in the last 20 years if you're counting things other than fat cells or hair.
It's been a fun few days getting emails (and phone calls) from people I often think about but haven't spoken to or written in forever. Ya'll should keep in touch! I don't plan on taking this web site down any time soon. I know a few of my old friends look, occasionally, and I hope that continues.
Those of you who would banish me for another 20 years, I hope you stop by, too.
JB Smith? Thanks for googling.

Posted by: mckayla at February 6, 2006 05:27 PM40 isn't so bad. I do miss the pomp Micheal. I still wear leather it just dosen't have to make a statement anymore. Time does go on and on and on lol. I must say some of my most favorite times with friends just hanging out were spent in that double wide late at night playing God only knows what version of poker for the dime ante pot. I keep you in my thoughts man.
Posted by: Ron Shadix at February 7, 2006 09:30 AMWow! I'm famous now. Thanks for posting me and MBurt. It sure was great seeing him again and all his grown up sisters and kids. Now that makes me feel old. His kids are almost as tall as me! It was fun swaping "Michael" stories at his party. He had lots. My fav was when he showed up at the Metroplex wearing a dress and the skins were about to beat him up but Michael said the right thing and they just walked away laughing. I think he said in a deep, serious voice, "don't f@&k with me, MAN!" And the story when he woke up naked in the wrong apartment with a man holding a gun to him with his kids screaming, "kill him daddy, shoot him dead!"
Thanks again, JB
I wonder how many people have the heart to banish Michael... Can we have a tally? Not too many to be sure. He may be out of their heart but certainly not outa their mind.
