The Nook!

Easter Island

It took two different shades of pink before we were happy, but we finally got it right and brought the table and chairs back. We now have a breakfast nook.

Next up? TIKI theme upstairs in the ... the... the... tiki room. That room at the top of the stairs that I don't know what it is for. I have enlisted the help of a local muralist and we're going to do a big-ass tropical theme - The Easter Island guys, palm trees, Tiki masks, hula-girls, waves, sunshine. We might even do a bamboo ceiling.

I can't wait to get started on this one. Should be a lot of fun.

Countertop I assume will be in by the end of the month, so Winter projects are tiki thing upstairs and building the glass backsplash in the kitchen.

Some of those Easter Island heads are pretty heavy. Make sure you lift with your legs, not your back...

Just for the record, Easter Island isn't in the tropics, and culturally the Rapa Nui have little in common with the polynesians that inhabit the lovely islands of the south pacific. The Master of Trivia has spoken. That being said, I'm sure your tiki room will look fabulous when it is finished.

Love and kisses,
