Pokerbeat IV

Michael with one of the many Pokerbeat fans

Another long one. We set up this afternoon for more B.A.R.G.E. stuff and got about 3 seconds of useful footage and had to wait around for it to get dark to shoot Greg Raymer in the fancy steakhouse overlooking Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas.

A $40.00 toke to Dan the restaurant manager seemed to smooth things over well enough to give us the best table in the house for shooting and the booth behind it for our equipment. Matthew and his crew got everything ready in record time and Greg showed up right on time at 9:00 PM.

Lee, Our Host

Lee, our host, sat with him and the interview was awesome. We got him talking for 30 minutes on enough subject matter to EASILY last 4 episodes. Taping was stopped and I decided that he was so helpful and nice to give us all that time that it just wouldn't be neighborly if Pokerbeat didn't buy him dinner.

And I didn't want him to have to eat alone, so Matthew, Lee and I joined him. MUCH better food than I would have expected at The Plaza. The potato flats were delicous as was the steak. It was great fun.

Tomorrow is Wil Wheaton. I hope he's not being shot at a restaurant or we'll REALLY be over budget. Annie - you can unfurrow that brow - It was an expensive night, but we got the BEST footage of Raymer that I have ever seen - BAR NONE.

We have an exclusive on his 'real' nickname. And I'm not telling until the show goes live.

Hopefully Matthew and I will have time to put some of the footage up in the next few days. Great day.

I noticed that "Lee, our host" has 2 heads. Did you notice that, too? It is hard to miss...
