Hello August!

I'll spend my first two weeks of the last month of summer in Las Vegas where it's going to be 300 degrees in the shade. In 7 and 1/2 hours I leave for the airport. I won't be on Minnesota soil again until the evening of the 16th. Luckily, Elizabeth is coming to visit on the 8th to bring me some much-needed happiness from the upper mid-west.

I think I've got everything pack and organized - we shall waste no time, we're shooting Daniel Negraneau at the Wynn casino tomorrow at 4:00 PM Las Vegas time. If you're reading this around then, say a little prayer, will ya? Because here are a bunch of folks in Las Vegas pretending to be TV production people who could use one. Or two.

It's my hope to update this (or the super secret pokerbeat blog) every day so that my partner, Annie, who had to be in London for the London Open poker tournament can see all the fun she's missing. I fear, however, that I'll be too exhausted to post. We'll see.
