I can't believe from just talking about the project 3 months ago, I'm now sitting in the hotel room across the street from Santa Monica Blvd and Sepulveda where the Fox Network headquarters is with a completely edited DVD demo copy of Pokerbeat in my briefcase.
It was just two months ago I was leaving for Las Vegas to shoot the first scene.
Amazing.
I'm honestly wondering if John Kerry will get more sleep than me tonight.
Excitement has finally set in and I'm enjoying it.
We were invited to the (amazing) home of one of the player panel members to show the demo to a few (17) people who had helped with the production. It was the first time I actually watched the entire edited demo and thought, "Damn! That's pretty good". Everyone there seemed to enjoy it and seemed convinced that we had a good chance here.
Tomorrow is the big day to see if we make that chance a reality on our first 'at bat'.
I'll certainly post some kind of news in the next day or two.

Poker pit at Clearwater now employs Jerimias Marquez and Chris Baker (from old bingo crew) Bingo hall and Convention Center was dismantled for MORE SLOTS and the ballot measure is being voted upon today to allow those machines into NON-TRIBAL statewide businesses. Showld water-down the daily drop at Clearwater, if it goes thru.... I personally am voting FOR it. They shouldn't have treated so many good folks so badly! It all comes around, don't it.
