I've got big plans for the holiday weekend and thought a picture of OLD GLORY might be appropriate.
Actually this shot is a "Point of View" assignment from my photography class. The instructor wanted images of everyday objects from an unusual angle.
( I've got to tell you, climbing that tree was a pain in the butt. )

I've had several Pros tell me that, it has everything you'll ever need and doesn't cost several hundred dollars.
I think the Elements "Save for Web" option is worth the 50 bucks, all by itself. This flag pic was originally almost 2meg now it's 38k and still looks very good. The "Save for Web" option is easy to use and great for sending pictures in E-mails.

i have a dark room, and i would post some of those pictures on bertine.org but i don't own a scanner (and i am lazy as it is)
I've been playing with digitals since 1997 and finally decided to take a course this year.
It was a ten week on-line course. The first five weeks focused on compositional elements. The last five were about techniques for specific types of shots.
