I came out of retirement today. I was told that what I was referring to was indeed NOT retirment, but vacation. I'm back from vacation. Carlucci and E.D. this is for you, nobody else need click the link (another boring tournament history).
The house is doing well. I purchased and installed some outdoor speakers for the deck. They look terrible and sound fantastic. I don't know what compelled me to buy white speaker wire for a brown porch, but, like I said, it sounds fantastic.
The kitten is doing quite well and enjoys running around on the roof while her Ma and Pa enjoy listening to beautiful music from ugly speakers.
Chairs for the breakfast nook have been ordered. Wallpaper for the 'man' room is in the mail. Much to do before the housewarming party. Much to do.
HOPS UPDATE:
The letter I wrote to Hops Corporate was answered.
They, through their costly market research, have figured out that I'm the only one in the world that gave a rat's ass about the crunchy cheese things. Now they (and aparently everyone else) are quite proud of their homemade croutons which suck.
Then they insulted me with a $5.00 gift card. Bastards.
The nice waitress in Maple Grove, however, did give me the secret recipie. Aparently you put some cheese in the oven and cook it. Brilliant!
